i would really like to see a current trix decklist/with metagame choices now that everyone is gunning for it, etc. anyone well versed in it, i've only played against it once, would be greatly appreciated, goin to a PTQ this weekend with oath, would like some suggestions. thanx in advance.
My current Donate version looks like this:
Spells: (37)
4x Illusions
4x Donate
3x Intuition
4x Accumulated Knowledge
4x Counterspell
4x FoW
4x Merchant Scroll
1x Stroke of Genius
1x Capsize
1x Morphling
3x Fire/Ice
4x Sapphire Medallion
Land: (23)
2x Volcanic Island
2x Mountain
19x Island
Also, I would be curious to see your version of Oath (I have a thread posted with mine).
posted on your oath thread, long post, but still looking for improvements myself, thanx for the help on trix.
anyone know if most are running more than 1 bounce - capsize or river, etc? btw, what's your sb look like for trix, lots of bounce for seal? and what do you think hurts trix the most out of the sb? erase/emerald charm, p. furnace, zuran orb, etc? any help much appreciated. thanx
The decklists I've seen have one Capsize as the only bounce.
I don't know much about the Oath vs Donate matchup but generally killing the medallions is a good strategy. Donate runs light on land compared to control decks and need the medallions to power up casting more than one spell per turn.
Typically a Donate deck will side into a Morphling control deck versus Oath. It would make something like the following changes:
-4 Illusions
-4 Donate
-3 Fire/Ice
+3 Ruination
+2 Morph
+4 Pyroblast
+1 Hydroblast
+1 Stroke of Genius
It's sideboard overall would look something like:
3x Ruination
4x Pyro
2x Morphling
1x Hydroblast
1x Stroke of Genius
1x Hibernation
1x Magical Hack
2x Earthquake (or Pyroclasm)
May I ask why all the Donate sidebaords contain 1 Hydroblast? What is the point of having it there?
a random sideboard card vs sligh and for a mirror and control decks packing pyro's in their sideboard.
