Dismantling Blow
Sylvan Library
4 Land Grant

R Ancestral Recall
R Braingeyser
R Fact or Fiction

4 Mana Drain
1 Merchant Scroll
1 Misdirection
2 Morphling

Slots you actually have to think about in aggro:
4 City of Brass
R Library of Alexandria
R Strip Mine
1 Tropical Island
3 Tundra
4 Underground Sea
1 Undiscovered Paradise
3 Volcanic Island
3 Wasteland

SB: 2 Powder Keg (only bring these in against sligh)
SB: 2 Compost
SB: 2 Dwarven Miner
SB: 3 Red Elemental Blast
SB: 1 Aura Fracture
SB: 2 COP: Red
SB: 1 Moat (a terrible card that I plan to cut ASAP)
SB: 1 Seal of Cleansing

Ta-da!

Those Land Grants better be a joke.

By Freddie Williams II (Freddie) on Wednesday, April 17, 2002 - 11:58 am:

hmmm...

4 land grant and no pitch green cards and only 1 tropical, and only 1 responce to protect it?...

ok, do as you like.

By The Usual Stompist (Fbi) on Wednesday, April 17, 2002 - 12:01 pm:

Not at all, they thin my deck (note the 1 trop) and its like playing 65 cards in a 61 card deck.

By Azhrei (Azhrei) on Wednesday, April 17, 2002 - 12:01 pm:

The funny thing is, after seeing his Stompy deck, I think this might be legitimate.

By The Usual Stompist (Fbi) on Wednesday, April 17, 2002 - 12:03 pm:

You mean you guys don't love it :(?

By Matt D'Avanzo, the Sylvan Librarian (Matt) on Wednesday, April 17, 2002 - 12:05 pm:

No, if this was really FBI's Keeper deck it would run Skyshroud Ridgeback over utility creatures like Shaman.

By The Usual Stompist (Fbi) on Wednesday, April 17, 2002 - 12:21 pm:

I would run vine dryad first, to capitalize on the synergy with land grants

By Azhrei (Azhrei) on Wednesday, April 17, 2002 - 12:28 pm:

Oh God, it IS his real deck.

By Ufactor (Ufactor) on Wednesday, April 17, 2002 - 12:29 pm:

and no jewelery?? this means that abyss comes out turn 5 and stroke/geyser can't be used until the game is already over.

By The Usual Stompist (Fbi) on Wednesday, April 17, 2002 - 12:33 pm:

By The Usual Stompist (Fbi) on Wednesday, April 17, 2002 - 12:35 pm:

Ufactor: why would I want abyss before turn 5???

By Ufactor (Ufactor) on Wednesday, April 17, 2002 - 12:38 pm:

because any aggro player can empty his/her hand by turn three which means 3-5 creatures on the board.

By The Usual Stompist (Fbi) on Wednesday, April 17, 2002 - 12:43 pm:

but if I play it too early they can just kill it with utility creatures like elvish lyrist. No, better to wait I think

By Jacob Orlove (Orlove) on Wednesday, April 17, 2002 - 01:29 pm:

Fbi, you forgot the mox emerald and sideboarding strategy :)

By CooberP, the Aura Fracturer of B2Bs (Cooberp) on Wednesday, April 17, 2002 - 01:32 pm:

Thanks Brian Weissman.

By Gzeiger (Gzeiger) on Wednesday, April 17, 2002 - 01:38 pm:

What's with basic Islands? Save you from Back to Basics they will not, but they do cut you off from black and red mana.

By CF (Cf) on Wednesday, April 17, 2002 - 02:00 pm:

"Haha, let's post a bad deck and pass it off as my real one, hahaha". Read the posting rules and stop wasting our time.

"You guys are such suckers"

No, we just believe you're that bad.

By The Usual Stompist (Fbi) on Wednesday, April 17, 2002 - 02:16 pm:

My sidebaording strategy per request:

In Quest

I get all my strats from InQuest. Doesn't everybody?

By Curses/Foiled (Curses) on Wednesday, April 17, 2002 - 02:25 pm:

Y'know, somehow... I'm not amused.

By Matt the Great (Matt) on Wednesday, April 17, 2002 - 05:08 pm:

Somehow, I never am. BD is fine for strategy but man, the humor on this site is like licking the oil spot on your driveway compared to other site's ambrosia.

It's Rakso's week off so the chumps will play while the cat is away.

Mise I get to mad goof off

I think we're making the same point. Hell, I KNOW we are. My way is more elaborate while yours is...blunter. But being blunt is good for things. Like beating your head against a wall:)

The only part I disagree with is that strategy on BD is, as a whole, mediocre

By Kirdape3, the Court Jester of Beatdown (Kirdape3) on Wednesday, April 17, 2002 - 08:06 pm:

As evidenced by the 'leading' Stompy player :).

By Ufactor (Ufactor) on Thursday, April 18, 2002 - 11:28 am:

FBI- so where does a better type one site exist?
*crickets chirping*

By Matt the Great (Matt) on Thursday, April 18, 2002 - 06:23 pm:

Strategy here may be dispensed a little heavy-handedly but it is of uniform quality. And even that feeling of being talked down to is natural given that type one typically houses those who have played the longest. It may be annoying but you'd be a fool to think that impacted the factual quality of the judgements of the senior members.

By Matt D'Avanzo, the Sylvan Librarian (Matt) on Thursday, April 18, 2002 - 06:51 pm:

Yeah, now get back in the kitchen and make me a sandwitch.

By Matt the Great (Matt) on Thursday, April 18, 2002 - 08:56 pm:

Ooh, do I smell a Matt sandwich forming? ;)

By Jacob Orlove (Orlove) on Thursday, April 18, 2002 - 09:32 pm:

?
Is that some kind of new card?

Sandwitch
G (or) R (or) W (or) B (your choice)
Creature-witch
Tap: Becomes as good as Matt D'Avanzo. Proceed to crush your hapless opponent.
3/3

By Azhrei (Azhrei) on Thursday, April 18, 2002 - 09:59 pm:

I don't know what a Matt sandwich smells like, and frankly I'm okay with that.

By Matt D'Avanzo, the Sylvan Librarian (Matt) on Thursday, April 18, 2002 - 10:04 pm:

I'm sure it smells a hell of a lot better than a Yan Margolin sandwich.

By Azhrei (Azhrei) on Thursday, April 18, 2002 - 10:06 pm:

That's true; you guys would only smell like Vaseline, shit, sweat, and semen.

By Matt D'Avanzo, the Sylvan Librarian (Matt) on Thursday, April 18, 2002 - 10:15 pm:

And Legend's nutsack.

By Azhrei (Azhrei) on Thursday, April 18, 2002 - 10:16 pm:

You totally fucked that up. Why would the two Matts smell like Legend's nuts? You gain demerits for that shoddy reply.

By Matt D'Avanzo, the Sylvan Librarian (Matt) on Thursday, April 18, 2002 - 10:31 pm:

I meant the Yan Margolin sandwich. I got all confused from the rubber cement fumes damnit!

By Matt the Great (Matt) on Friday, April 19, 2002 - 12:28 am:

This definitely needs to be archived.

By Put Nicotine in Milk (Fbi) on Tuesday, April 23, 2002 - 08:02 pm:
