Beyond Dominia: The Type One Magic Mill: underworld dreams deck ideas

Please let me know some deck ideas you may have for underworld dreams. I would like to build a competitive deck based around the card (type one tournaments) and would be interested in hearing engines your may seen/played against. If the card isn't type one worthy (as a deck concept) then so be it, but it just seems to work so well with so many draw cards available today (twister/ancestral/'geyser/genius/prosperity/wheel/howling mine/ and maybe even horn of greed?). with multiples in play, even standstill can be strong against your opponent (play before you cast another spell to cause opponent to draw).

Well, let me know your thoughts, either here or email me at: p***5@t***a.net

Yeah... would you rather I post the primer draft for you Razor? :)

Thanks, Razor. This one of the best working list I've found so far. Of those I've talked to, the skeleton of this deck is common amoung dreams decks. Did John post this origionally, and has he named it? I would like to give him credit if I can make a viable type one deck using this same basic list. I honestly doubt that the finished deck will be tier one or even tier two, but I'd like to see what I can come up with. Also, what success has he had with it, if you know.

Thanks again,

I believe John said he won a series of tourneys with his build. But, like Matt D'Avanzo said of his Academy deck, he felt this deck was one draw-7 short of being Tier 1.

Diminishing Returns is *almost* a draw-7 - it really tries.

CF raged about the successes of abusing Tainted Pacts to cut to the next Draw-7 hastening the combo/win. Note his tech of varying card names by mixing swamps and snow-covered swamps to promote Tainted Pact success.

BeBe has touted some major success with Dreams, too. I believe he raved about maining a singled Urza's Rage "just in case".

Have I missed any other major tech?

My greatest surprise was that no one used Prosperity or Teferi's Puzzle Box like I did in my "Black Box 2000" suboptimal version.

I,ve built and played an underworld dreams deck for a long tiem, and still playing it. the decklist proposed is pretty cool.

for the question of the pther draw 7, my personal version included winds of changes. it's not exactly a draw7 but a draw6, for only one red mana.

using 1 is essential and running two winds of change can be considered.
