I still can't get the hang of what to name, but this kid looks funny in U/W aggro-control. Maybe I was too hasty in picking U/R or U/B as the aggro-control possibility.
Heh. Name Keg then name Morph. Happened to me online. Big laugh.
(Double FoF-Masticore, though)
I name the following cards like 99% of the time:
Lightning Bolt
Hymn to Tourach
Sinkhole
Morphling
Powder Keg
Hot Chicks
The Abyss
Balance
I use Meddling Mages in my keeper SB; naming Morph+Keg shuts mono-u down cold.

Which against which decks?
Chris, Mono-U's taking root in your area? You wouldn't board Pyros for them? Mages?
Mono-u is not played here, there was one variant, but it differed greatly from the "normal" ones. My Keeper deck is currently without red, hence Mage over REB. They have worked well so far.

Mages are really good cards. Naming, say, Balance against Keeper is "good," for example, since if you are overrunning them the Abyss won't cut it.
Meddling Mages are pretty good, especially in a known metagame like BD. U/W is a solid choice for an aggro-control deck thanks to the mages.
Here's a deck I've been experimenting with:
4 Savannah Lions
4 Crystalline Slivers
4 Meddling Mage
4 Serendib Efreet
4 Orim's Chant
4 Force of Will
3 Fact or Fiction
2 Seal of Cleansing
1 Dismantling Blow
1 Balance
1 Ancestral Recall
1 Time Walk
1 Mystical Tutor
5 Moxen
1 Black Lotus
1 Sol Ring
4 Tundra
4 Adarkan Wastes
4 Island
4 Plains
2 Wasteland
1 Strip Mine
It's very traditional aggro-control (or tempo) deck, much like CounterSlivers, or Azhrei White Weenie, or The Patriot (which was my starting point). At least it beats BBS.
