I Feel that a T2 sligh deck has potential, but many disagree with me, and with good reason. I do think that it has a good matchup with rocket shoes, but I have gotten opposition on that as well. Anyways, I have created a fairly preliminary version, and I would like some advice.

18 Mountain
2 Barbarian Ring

4 Raging Goblin
2 Grim Lavamancer
4 Mad Dog
4 Hell Bent Raider
3 Ember Beast
3 Flametongue Kavu
3 Skizzik

4 Reckless Charge
4 Firebolt
2 Volcanic Hammer
4 Flame Burst
3 Fiery Temper

I dont know what to put in the sideboard, I would like help with that. Thank you.

Goblin Raider is just plain better than Mad Dog. I might use them both anyway. How about this:

4 Raging Goblin

3 Flametongue Kavu or Pardic Arsonist
4 Reckless Charge
4 Firebolt
4 Volcanic Hammer or Fire/Ice

Depends on metagame. Some suggestions:
Engulfing Flames
Storm Shaman (for Rocket SHoes)
Urza's Rage
Shivan Dragon
Goblin Digging Team

I like your deck, with a few exceptions. With flashback, I'm not getting to use my rings a lot, so I only run 2. I like the arsonist, but again, threshold. Maybe I'll try to speed up how fast I get there. I also NEED skizzik. That card has been my mvp. Many a game has found me winning in the late game against creature decks due to him. Also, grim lavamancer not only detracts from threshold, but he is useless quickly, so you might want to go down on them. I might use violent eruption though, it could reap some card advantage. Thanks for the advice.

just a few suggestions. if ur playing sligh and ur worried about late game then theres a problem late game in sligh is like 5th turn in which u should be unloading burn on ur oponent to finish them off. i like the minotaur explorer as well, works pretty good with the violent eruption and fiery temper. and threshold never enters my mind when the word sligh is mentioned. hope this helps.

Those are good points, but I have a few as well. 1, in type 2, almost nothing wins turn 5. 2, against rocket shoes, you'll have burned their creatures to stay alive, creating a late game. The explorer is good, but I need a 2 drop I can rely on, not a situational one I only want to drop as soon as turn 3. Your right about the threshold thing, in type 2 it is far too slow. Without fireblast, it could never happen fast enough in sligh. I played tings, and with a mediocre draw for both of us, I almost won, only being a turn away. Psychatog is another story, but with so many threats, it might possibly be 90/10 them..........lol. Anyways, I think the deck is pretty solid, possibly lacking the speed it needs, which could also be due to card pool. Any more advice is welcome.

i played this deck ,which together with the sideboard aims to take out creature decks as well as control..

3 goblin trenches
10 mountain
3 plains
4 city of brass
4 battlefield forge

sb 4 pacifism
4 blazing salvo
3 aura blast
4 sudden impact
finished 4th in tourney.-maybe play 3 ftk maindeck and 3 skizzik .also maybe a 4th plains but 11 sources on turn 2 should be ok.goblin trenches are a good finisher in this deck.

The version that won a regional here was a more combish version:

25 1/1 for r (all of the cool ones AND fillers)
4 rites of initiation
4 firebolt, shock, Volcanic hammer, Fire/ice
15 Lands including 4 barbarian ring

now the updated version is

21 1/1 for r
4 rites, 3 charges
4 firebolt, shock, fiery temper, 3 volcanic hammer or Fire/ice
17 lands including 4 rings
this version is a bit land heavy, but it's ok... :-)
