: : 1) Anyone can make guaranteed broken decks if we get to change the deck construction rules. [That's why we have the rules, after all.]
: So?
: : 2) Lord Zur = Why make the deck bigger than 60 cards? It works much better smaller. I've seen it done.
: you need more than 60 cards so your opp. runs out of cards BEFORE you do.
: : 3) Squandered Monkey = I'm not familiar with the rule you're referring to. Do you get to keep the first 7 cards if you draw 7 more? If not, what happens if you get the Raging Goblin BEFORE the Lotus Petal? Answer = YOU LOSE.
: you put no lands in your deck so you can countinually taken a no-land mulligan over and over again until you get all the cards you need
:
: : 4) (V)etallica = Your deck barely works. Since less than 1/4 of your deck produces mana, there's a fairly reasonable chance that you'll get no mana and lose. Again, I don't see the need to have 12,004 cards in a deck when 60 will do the trick.
: : 5) There is a mill for these kinds of ideas. This isn't it.
: 1 Blacvk lotus will let you draw 9 cards so you will draw more BLs you need more than 60 cards for the same reason as above, but he over-exagerated on this one
You're missing it. Why have a huge deck AND Feldon's Canes? Since both decks already have the canes, they DON'T NEED MORE THAN 60 CARDS. In fact, have more than 60 cards just increases the chances that eventually, you'll run out of Lotuses (or have plenty of Lotuses but nothing to cast with them).
