: that sums it up...now i have a dilemma. There is an extended tourney this weekend with 3 moxes (sapphire, jet, and ruby) up for grabs for 1st definetly 2nd with a good turnout and 3rd with a packed tourney. Now there is a very good turnout expected so i think its definetly going to be for 2 of the moxes and possibly three. I dont know how to turn this into extended!!!!! Im not sure of what sets or cards are banned but i would appreciate your help. If you know this can you see what i should do to make this into extended?!?!?!? PLEASE?!?!?!?

is the tourney extended, or 1.5?

if its 1.5 (a very balanced format IMHO) everything from the t1 restricted list is banned, with the addition of candelabra, workshop, copy artifact, zuran orb, and feldon's cane. otherwise, anything else goes. It should be fairly easy to turn this deck into a 1.5 deck. However, if the tourney is extended, then all non-reprinted cards from arabian, antiquities, legends, A, B, and unlimited are banned, plus the reprinted restricted stuff like balance, sol ring, etc. also, hyppie (eek), kird ape, mana crypt, and serendib. So if the tourney youre going to play in is extended, youll need to make some major deck overhauls. In this situation, Id suggest, if you have the duals, that you play r/g/b LD. make it four wasteland, play four stone rain, plus thermokarst and/or icequake (or choking sands, they are pretty annoying for any multi color deck). Then drop in two miners for permanent LD, play a bit of direct damage (lightnings and incinerates, keep a couple manabirds for speed, and definitely use four erhnam. they are by far the best creature in the extended format. a nekrataal or two is nice for creature control, and you might want to play with some terrors or edicts. for land youll need 4 badland, 4 bayou, and 4 taiga. you also might want to use a few cities to keep a good mana balance.
