"Do No Evil"
The artist comments...
This, being the first serious computer piece that I've done, took me a
long time to complete. Twelve weeks, to be exact. I had classmates of
mine pose, and I took their picture with a digital camera to get the
parts of the body that show. Everything else is computer-generated in
one form or another. My only snag when writing this was that I really
didn't know what to do for the feathering. So, I took inspiration from
one of the best Magic creatures of all time: the Serra Angel. To be
exact. I copied one feather from the Serra, and manipulated is to
create the feathering.
The piece is entitled "Do No Evil," off of the theme of "Hear no evil,
see no evil, speak no evil." This is basically an angelic being that
follows that creed exactly.
