Stretching Dominia Dollars, Part II

    Fallen Empires!!!!

What's that? The holidays are over and you still have a few bucks just burning a hole in your pocket. You know you're going to spend it on Magic cards, but are not sure where to get the best possible buy.

Well, due to the situation the Magic market has created, that question is easy to answer. Here is the well kept secret_ Fallen Empires! Let me say it out loud... FALLEN EMPIRES...

This expansion was, and still is, the best bargain ever available to Magic players. Why some players didn_t buy a box or two when they were just $25 a box is beyond any normal reasoning. Here in Rochester, you can still get them for $30 a box... but that isn't going to last much longer. "So, get em while ya kin bucko!" Their days as what Consumer Reports would have termed a "BEST BUY" are just about over.

Now I was going to do a Top Ten List to show why Fallen Empires was one of the best expansions. But there's already a fairly well done Fallen Empire top-ten list available in the second issue of Dimensions (check it out at: http//www.abinet.com/greda/d/d.html). It's a great list and offers strong support for why Fallen Empires is the best buy available.

So instead, I'll just list a few cards that come somewhere after the top ten. I list these cards because they are ones I play often, so.... Ready...... Set...... Go....
Bottomless Vault, Elvish Farmer, Goblin Flotilla, Goblin Warrens, Hand of Justice, Icatian Store, Icatian Town, Rainbow Vale, River Merfolk, Sand Silos, Seasinger, Thrull champion and of special note.... VODALIAN KNIGHTS!

I give special attention to the knights for a very personal reason (one you may very well disagree with). The V-Knights are my favorite magic card artwork to date. And, if you haven't gotten your Fallen Empire cards yet, I hope I_ve talked you into it.

See you next month, and we'll look and see what Bargain Buys can still be found in Arabian Nights! Until then, sleep well and dream about being a V-Knight... I will....
