Dominia Register #4 The Queen is coming..the Queen is coming..the Queen has arrived! But before we get into the Queen lets check our mail. FEEDBACK : 4 readers wrote to let me know they were readers, enjoy what I write and hope I continue. One also expressed sympathy on the passing of Peaches. THANK YOU, THANK YOU , THANK YOU and THANK YOU. All writers need to hear people are reading what they write. And here is a web site all readers should keep bookmarked. Sooner or later, you or someone close to you will experience the passing of a favorite pet. When this happens refer them to http://rainbowsbridge.com/Poem.htm. I know where Peaches waits! Another reader wrote a long note questioning the importance of Dark Rituals? He sees a card disadvantage unless it brings out a quick hippy. I agreed in part. My main use of dark rituals was to summons hippys. But it also worked well with Drain Lifes. And helps me look like I don't have enough mana to counter anything when in fact I do, if I use Dark Ritual. These 3 uses were enough to make it a regular in black decks. I just wish the Wizards would quit reprinting it. Unless you have newbies who are buying your commons, you can quickly end up with a ton of the same common cards. One last reader let me know he likes what I write concerning multiplayer games and he also plays with a group that makes their own rules. I think there are a lot of people like us. We ignore the DCI and have fun with playing M:tg.
As a survivor of brain surgery I recognize the importance lab rats play in the advancement of human medical knowledge, but find the art on Lab Rats to be an act of sickness. A rat with legs replaced by wheels is the same sad demented sense of humor bigots hold for different races and/or females. I offer the Wizards my condolences for the self inflicted embarrassment they have committed. They have reached a new low in ethical behavior showing total disregard of the sacrificial role forced on lab rats. I won't even keep such garbage in my collection.
First decide which Gold slivers to use: Sliver Queen is considered a given. She is the only 7/7 and can build a 1/1 colorless token army for 2 mana apiece. The five other uncommon 2/2 gold slivers are: Name Colors Ability Gained ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Acidic RB Can sacrifice slivers to do 2 dam to target creature. Crystalline WU Slivers can not be the target of spells or abilities. Hibernation UB Pay 2 life, Can return slivers to owners hand. Spined GR Slivers gains +1/+1 for each blocker they encounter. Victual WG Can sacrifice slivers and gain four life. Now you should have a queen and 4 gold slivers. Each color needed for your Gold sliver's casting cost supports another uncommon 2/2 sliver and a common 1/1 sliver. You could add up to 16 more slivers ( 20 if you include the 1/1 Metalic sliver which is an artifact creature that counts as a sliver). By color - here's the other slivers, their stats and special abilities.
For the record my Green/White - 5 multiplayer games - second 3 times.
my Green/Red - 5 multiplayer games - won twice.
Note: In 10 Games the Queen came out 4 times and was destroyed 4 times. In
multiplayer games someone will destroy her before you get to use her.
Crystalline is needed for the Queen to survivor.
Til next month....C-YA! Thank you - Dave
