The Two Factor When I got my first pack of Stronghold, the card that first caught my eye was Mortuary. At first it was because of the stunning and grim illustration by Robert Bliss. After reading the text, it also became apparant that this could be a very useful card. The other card that went well with this was Acidic Sliver. I could have a pretty sure bet of doing 2 damage to the opponent every turn, and with Grave Pact, I could kill an opponent’s creature every time. Heart Sliver is necessary for the Acidic to be able to use it’s ability the first turn it comes into play. This deck also has plenty of other insurance, such as drain life, Fatal Blows and Death Strokes for hard to get creatures, Wall of Souls and Clot Slivers for defense, and Kindles for direct damage. If you do get the combo into play, you might need a way to draw an extra card, and the only way I can think of is Howling Mine. It isn’t always necessary to use it though, because this deck can defend pretty well with the cards it has out. Since most of the cards go with the 2 damage theme, (Kindle, Acidic Sliver, Shock) I’ve named this deck the 2 factor.
