Hey everyone, guess who? Yep, it's good ol' Urza again! I was just called in quickly to give the magazine the letters I recieved, but the call reached my house in Terisiare a little late... but I'm here, with the letters I got. Unfortunately, there's a problem with this scenario. Three letters are not really enough for a letters section. I'm giving in the ones sent to me, but we're going to need more for the next months! Please, if you can, send me your comments, questions, corrections, anything! I'll print what I can. Also, if you have a question about Beyond Dominia Magazine itself, I will get the editor-in-chief to answer it, to be printed here. Anyway, let's go to the first letter. This one comes from Ken Vargo.
If I target my opponent's creature with a Spirit Link, Do I gain the life or does he? You do, Ken. It's one of the simple luxuries of many cards. This is, in fact, what many people do. Imagine your opponnent getting a Lord of the Pit out, and suddenly finding out the damage it deals you will just go right back to your life total! Next is from Scott Koeneman, who asks,
See I thought that when he cast the spell, and chose the colortype, that technically the choosing of the color "writes" the word on the card. If so then that should be mind-bendable, right? Or am i just wandering off the deep end here...? Tough question... but of course I got the answer. You're absolutely right, because once the card is played, the color is present until it leaves play. So everything you assumed is completely correct. The last question comes from Pip. It reads,
I just surfed the net and found your e-zine. Cool!!! I just want to ask a question. I have a Bubble Matrix in play and a Bog Imp. My opponent has a Lord of the Pit and attacks with it. Naturally, I block with my Bog Imp. Can I now cast Fatal Blow and kill the Lord of the Pit? Thanks a lot and may your e-zine prosper. Pip Sorry, but because the Bubble Matrix makes it so that the Lord of the Pit never recieved damage, it can't be killed with a Fatal Blow. But thanks for the compliments, and I hope you enjoy this magazine further! Well, that's it. As I said before, please send your letters to me at r***e@m***i.com! Until next month, this is Urza, saying goodbye and goodnight. Urza
