Surviving in Weenieland

Hi, everybody. I've received some e-mail regarding weenie decks. M:tG's last expansions have given a wide range of good weenie creatures (flankers, fledgling djinns, "2/2 + ability for 3," Visions pets, Skulkin' and Tar Pit Warriors, ...), so creature combat is becoming more and more important. Weenie decks never lose their chances to win, but they never outnumbered other types as they do now; at least in my town.

It's time to beat them all. Let's fight those insects. We have two possibilities:

WAITING FOR ROBERT

In weenieland, BOB rules. If I have him on my side, everything will be easier. His fee, on the other hand, is much too high. Llanowar Elves usually get him quicker and cheaper. Some Marble and Moss Diamonds will be accepted to pay for him. I'll use them. However, if those Thawing Glaciers could melt, I can get more Plains and Forests to play Bob. It's my life what it's in play.

Anyway, Bob usually doesn't come in the first turns. So, I'll get some time disturbing the swarmers. Maybe God will release his Wrath. Maybe they can get upset with Creeping Molds. Then, maybe they can get Disenchanted. Who knows?

But I fear that won't be enough. I can send my Peacekeepers to convince swarmers, maybe I myself can Talk about Peace. Grass is high, even for elephants. It won't be enough. Some scattered Swords can build a Wall, but they doesn't block everything. Bob is VERY slow, he enjoys being late. Redwood Treefolks and Giant Spiders do their best to stop this avalanche, but they are passed by. I face them personally. I suffer some damage. This is the end.

In fact, this is not the end. This is Bob's style. Here he is. He rescues me, splashes those nasty critters around me, and kills whoever crosses his path. I won, of course.

"I'M NOT SO PEACEFUL"

As in real movies, some supporting-role actors play their role better then the main characters. That's what happened to Bob. One of his assistants caught my deepest interest. The winner was "Peacekeeper".

In Bob's, he earned as much time as he could, while BOB decided to arrive. He was a passive subject. Now, he is much more active, and becomes the key card of the deck. He won't let anyone attack, but there's always another possibilities.

Weatherlight's Fire Whip can build up Tims from any one creature, even from our Peacekeeper. Good combo, I think.

So, we are going to win by Direct Damage cards. We need more Red DD cards, and more White defense cards. It sounds like RW Control....

There aren't many permanents, so I'll add 2 artifacts. Bosium Strip, to reuse DD cards, and Nevinyrral's Disk, to wipe out any other nasty permanents.

One last problem. Brothers of Fire are good targets for Fire Whip. But they also make us lose some life. That's why there are so many cards for us to get some life. They even keep you alive if Peacekeepers don't like to be with us early enough.

So, here's the Deck.
