Enchantress, the so-called "Son of Parfait," met its maker in a battle of grinding control decks without counterspells. A fun game that I made sure to play carefully. While I can outdraw Parfait all day long, its multiple Auras of Silence and random stuff like Crypt and Cap can really hurt.

Game one he plays a first turn Land Tax and I play a first turn Library. He plays another Tax without playing another land and I Duress away an Argivian Find. The Library stays on the table the whole game, which should give you a feel for what happened. He Orim's Chants me two straight turns; I'm fine drawing the extra cards. When he runs out of Chants, he gets Mind Twisted for his hand (5). I think I'm in the driver's seat totally not caring that he Taxes back into a full hand and lays Ivory Tower to gain a ton of life. But he topdecks a Scroll Rack, which despite its prompt Seal of Cleansing enables him to convert the Plains into a full hand that he quickly dumps (it involved a Lotus, an Aura of Silence and a Sacred Mesa). However, the next turn Sylvan/Pursuit goes off. I do lots of stuff including laying an Overgrown Estate so he can't shuffle his library after the Tax, and a few turns later Replenish out God knows how much stuff, eliciting a concession.

Sideboard: -1 City of Solitude, -1 Choke, -1 Pariah, -1 Abyss, -1 Moat, +1 Abolish, +1 Aura Fracture, +1 Femeref Enchantress, +1 Still Life, +1 Duress

I keep an average-seeming hand with a City, Waste, Strip, Duress, Femeref Enchantress, and Seal of Cleansing. He goes first turn Tormod's Crypt. I cry. I Duress something, I don't remember what. He plays a Tax. I play Femeref. I Seal the Crypt and lose my Seal (but draw a card) :). I cast a Mesa, which is Abolished. When he Argivian Finds Crypt, I'm scared. I cast Regrowth to draw the Crypt, losing a Mesa from the game. I lay an Argothian Enchantress, but this game, it will be the Femeref that draws me to victory, as he sided out basically every way to remove it. With both Enchantresses on the table, I cast Sterling Grove (draw), sac it to fetch Aura Fracture (draw), cast Aura Fracture (draw), kill his Land Tax (draw)...you get the idea. They were quite a tag team. I'm pulling ahead when he Purifies, killing a bunch of artifact mana, but I think I drew the Replenish off of Femeref Enchantress! :) I might have had it already. Pursuit of Knowledge goes off at least once (maybe twice) powered by the Enchantresses, and I lay a Still Life which he does not block but instead attacks for one point a turn with his lone Pegasus. I tutor for Mesa, build up mana, and start swinging. He casts another Crypt at some point and takes a whole bunch of stuff out of the game, but when your opponent is drawing like 4 cards a turn and you're topdecking off a two-Plains hand you're not in great shape. I kill him with five cards left in my library -- another Purify, he points out, would have won the game because the Femeref would have decked me.
Good games, and they went pretty much as I would have expected -- my dramatically greater capacity for draw and search and more explosive recursion pulled me to victory.

Wow, great match report. I think that may have convinced me to try out your deck. Pursuit = sweet.
